Buddy Assemblies

Our Buddy system is evolving and now children are being grouped to discuss a whole range of topics in fortnightly buddy Assemblies. This way the children can contribute to discussion about school issues and develop their sense of belonging to a school community.

At Graham James Primary Academy, our Buddy Assemblies give all children a chance to voice their views on the school, their local environment and their lives.

Giving all students a chance to express their views contributes to a stronger sense of community within the school and strengthens the peer relationships across year groups.

Lunchtime Buddies

Our year 6 children help out at lunchtime withΒ a range of jobs. They wear a yellow band to show that they are lunchtime buddies. Jobs include: Putting away the toys / equipment; engaging with the younger children and initiating games; modelling good behavior etc.
