Safer Internet Day is on 9th February 2021 and will be celebrated in the UK with the theme: An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world
Please also visit the NSPCC webpage (link below) that supports parents/carers with activities to complete at home with children regarding internet safety.
‘Five fun activities to do with your child this lockdown’:
If you require any further support regarding how to keep children safe at home, please do not hesitate to contact the safeguarding team at Graham James Primary Academy (01375 675889)
Our year 5 and 6 children will attend this same event, but designed for children, which is run by Thurrock in March. This is a chance for any parents/carers to attend and find out how your children are using social media and the internet.
WHAT ARE YOUR CHILDREN DOING ONLINE?
Our “Walk On Line” events open your eyes to the world our children and young people face. You will gain a greater understanding on what and how our children are using social media and the internet. All children from whatever background face the risks of exploitation. Lets reduce the risk for Thurrock’s children. The event will take you on a journey of “The Dark Web” and how to help your child to stay safe.
